right thing

Carbon Reporting

The construction industry is a major contributor of greenhouse gas emissions. As a group we recognise a shift towards a low-carbon economy is necessary to minimise the effects of climate change on our business and wider communities. We have embraced sustainability within our business plan and are taking action to reduce the environmental impact of our operations.

The Euro Corporation Group is a Toitū carbonreduce certified organisation. This means we are accurately measuring and reducing our carbon footprint in line with the ISO 14064-1 accreditation. This program covers scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions from all our manufacturing sites across New Zealand.

This certification represents our commitment and focus towards operating sustainably. Our emission reduction plan is focused on initiatives that improve our energy and material efficiency while minimising the footprint of our company vehicles, machinery, travel, freight, and waste.

We have committed to reducing our scope 1 and 2 emissions by 30% below 2021 levels by 2030.

Initiatives

We are in progress of reviewing and making sustainable improvements in the following areas:

  • Fleet management

  • Energy efficiency

  • Repurposing and recycling all steel offcuts

  • Utilising BIM design software and smart fabrication solutions to reduce reinforcing steel wastage

  • Minimising packaging along our supply chain

  • Recycling programs in all office and production spaces

Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) may be available on request.

For projects seeking Greenstar points, we can provide options for achieving the most points possible.
